Hi! I’m Ginger Cullen BSM, LM, CPM, and one of the Midwives at Full Moon Midwifery.
I’ve been involved in birth work for over 10 years and truly feel it is my calling to carry the title of Midwife. I first became enthralled with Midwives when I watched The Business of Being Born shortly before becoming pregnant with my first child. I was lucky enough to be able to access a wonderful Midwife over on Whidbey Island. She attended all three of my births and I was able to attend my first two as a doula with her there. I was obsessed with birth and women’s rights, and absolutely appalled at the birth stories I would hear from people who used the traditional medical model of care. I knew there was a better option for families, and I knew that I felt called to be one of those.
I began my formal training with Midwives College of Utah in January 2020 and graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Midwifery in 2024. During the apprenticeship portion of my training, I was able to learn from 8 different practicing Midwives, attended over 90 births, and performed 1000+ hours of clinical work. My training has helped shape me into a Midwife that balances Eastern and Western medicine modalities while always prioritizing client autonomy. I draw on the wisdom of thousands of years of midwives alongside modern medicine, which has given us research and options to help give families more control over their unique pregnancy risk factors.
It is my priority to make sure that all families feel welcome and that they are receiving non-biased care regardless of gender, sexual identity, race, age, or belief system. I utilize trauma-informed care throughout my time with families, as I recognize the impact that trauma has on the physical and mental health of the whole person. I love including the entire family in care as I believe when the family is involved throughout the pregnancy the transitions are easier and relationships can blossom.
Lover of babies, dogs and coffee. Chocolate always makes everything better.
